Photo Cafe

Creative support at your fingertips

Some years ago, my photographer friends and I would meet regularly in a local coffeehouse. We would often spend hours looking at each other’s work, trading tips and ideas, and supporting each other. And drinking too much coffee.

In a similar spirit, my virtual 'photo cafe’ is something new I’m trying. It’s made for dialogue around photography - not just mine but yours.

Members get DMs with me for photo advice, including project ideas, critiques, portfolios, editing help, etc. I can help you no matter your current skill level, even just how to get better results with your phone camera. I don’t focus on gear but let me know if you need advice about buying a camera.

Become a member with any donation. For quick questions, pay the $5 minimum, what you can, or what you think is fair.

Suggested donation for substantive consultations via DM is $50 (either as a one-off or per month for ongoing discussion).

For $100 (one-time or monthly) I offer a one-hour mentorship session via a private Padlet page and/or Zoom to review your project, portfolio, or any set of photos virtually.

All members get access to members-only posts and resource materials to help on your photo journey.

As an expat here in Kenya I volunteer my time to mentor young photographers. So your support keeps me going, growing, and able to help others.
